After the Expo...

the 2008 Expo was like the old Clint Eastwood movie, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly."

The seminar speakers earned rave reviews. "Outstanding" "The best speakers you have had for sometime." People requested the sequels for next year, asking us to bring back Forssen, Anchel and LaLiberte. Craig Webb, editor of ProSales magazine, provided a realistic look at the economy and the industry's future. Below is his slide show presentation. Not only were the speakers good so was the attendance at the show.

ExpoSeminar09.gif (24868 bytes) Many exhibitors said they were very pleased with the booth traffic, especially given the economy ... The Bad. The metro markets are still feeling the effects. Far fewer contractors attended because of it and there were fewer suppliers exhibiting, too.

The ugly came mid-morning on Monday when after subzero temperatures for three days enough snow came up from the south (where it was blizzard conditions in Iowa) turned the roads into skating rinks.Walk-in attendance on Monday slowed to a trickle. The exhibit floor would have been a ghost town were it not for the hardy students who arrived.

All in all, another star performance.
