Now is the time for people to dream again of building and remodeling but most do not know the incentives that are available for people to seriously consider the possibility. Help give them a nudge. The Dream Again campaign can spark their interest and move them forward. The campaign materials highlight the key reasons why they should build (click HERE to view the sample letter to the editor) and it includes the web sites (see below the artwork) that will explain in detail the tax credits available from the federal government and their own state.
- Look at the artwork (see below) and select what works best for you.
- A postcard for you and your contractors to mail to prospective customers or canvas a neighborhood.
- A poster (small or large) for you to hang in your yard.
- Use the poster format for a direct mail piece or circular in the local buying papers.
- An information page to use on the postcard, the backside of the direct mail piece or to include in an article for your local newspaper.
- An advertisement for your local newspaper.
Since congress voted to extend and expand the homebuyer's credit until April 30, this campaign continues nationwide through the network of other Federated associations. We hope that hundreds of local lumber yards, their customers and suppliers will take part in just a small way for an amazing public relations punch if we all act together towards the same end.
As your association we will, of course, be available to help you with this promotion. Professional printers can create full-color posters using the electronic files that are available with the DREAM AGAIN kit. Posters can be printed and mounted on foam boards for under $40.00 at Kinko’s at http://fedex .com/us/office/.
