Advanced Financial Management build on the lessons learned in Introduction to Financial Management but can be taken alone for those already familiar with basic accounting practices. This course will dive deeper into understanding standard accounting practices, cash flow and managing growth.

This class is being hosted by: 

This course will build on concepts and terminology offered in Introduction to Financial Management. This session will focus on advanced financial management practices including understanding the real cost of doing business, understanding cash flow, the importance of budgeting, and managing capital expenditures. Attendees will learn to create and manage a budget focusing on a business’s plan for growth.

 

This program’s agenda includes:

  • Financial Terms - advanced terminology & concepts

  • Determining your REAL cost of doing business

  • Cash Flow - Understanding positive cash flow

  • Budgeting

    • Importance of budgeting – why should you budget

    • What should you consider when budgeting

    • Capital expenditure planning

  • Managing Growth – Financial statement analysis.

 

During the course, we will analyze some common risk factors and discuss real options on how to approach and handle these risks.
