NLDA Employee Scholarships - the Nebraska Lumber Dealers Association is making available up to 10- $100 Employee Scholarships for Nebraska retail members sending their current and/or new employees to LumberTech training classes. (LumberTech courses include: Estimating 1-2-3; Yard & Delivery Workshop; Contractor Sales; Understanding Sales; Introduction to Financial Management; and Advanced Financial Management) Scholarship Applications can be submitted as soon as a class is registered for.
Congratulations to Mitchell K from Ord, Nebraska for being selected to receive the 2020-2021 Nebraska Lumber Dealers Association scholarship for $1,000 to use towards tuition, books or room & board.
The NLDA college scholarship is open to high school seniors or current college freshman, who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in a construction related college or technical school program. Applications are available November - January.
The Wisconsin Lumber Dealers Education Foundation provides post-secondary educational scholarships as well as employee training -Tuition Assistance grants for NLA members in Wisconsin & Upper Michigan. To learn more about these programs, visit www.wldef.com.
An Endowment Fund has been established at the University of Minnesota – Dept. of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering (formerly the Wood and Paper Science Department). Their marketing and building science programs have been educating top students for companies throughout the United States but most especially for companies here in the Midwest.
